The calculator uses the rates negotiated for poultry farmers with Compensa TU S.A. The insured sum is the number of birds multiplied by the price per kilogram and the weight of a single bird, and the base premium is a per-mille share of that sum depending on the variant: 1.6‰ for W1, 6.6‰ for W2 and 8.0‰ for W3.
On top of the base premium you can add optional clauses — diseases (salmonella, Gumboro, Marek’s disease and others), additional risks (heat, panic, poisoning) and avian influenza with Newcastle disease. Each has its own price list depending on the liability limit you choose.
