How to keep poultry flock records — step by step
Every poultry farm must keep flock documentation and report events to the ARiMR register (IRZplus). This guide explains what that means in practice — and how DlaFerm.pl can file those IRZplus reports for you, if you’d rather not battle the portal.

What are poultry flock records?
Poultry flock records are a mandatory log of all important events in the poultry house: flock placement, mortality, weighing results, medicine administration, vaccinations, and slaughter or sale. Documents must be kept for at least three years and made available on request by the veterinary inspection or ARiMR.
What is IRZplus and who must use it?
IRZplus is the portal of the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture (ARiMR) where poultry flock premises are registered and changes in flock status are reported — placements, slaughter or mortality exceeding the thresholds set by law. All holders of commercially kept poultry must use IRZplus. The producer number issued by ARiMR is required to run a legal farm.
Few farmers enjoy the IRZplus portal — so DlaFerm.pl can take that job off your hands. If you choose to, the app will file flock status changes (placement, slaughter) to IRZplus for you, automatically, without retyping the same figures in the ARiMR portal. It’s an option, not an obligation — prefer to report yourself and you still can, while DlaFerm.pl keeps every figure ready. And along the way it calculates production indices, watches mortality and stores the full cycle history — things IRZplus doesn’t give you.
Mandatory documentation on a poultry farm
Four areas checked by the veterinary inspection and ARiMR.
Register of placements and slaughter
Every flock placement and every slaughter or bird sale must be recorded with the date, number of birds and destination. This data goes into IRZplus as a status-change notification — with DlaFerm.pl you can send it automatically, with no retyping.
Daily mortality log
The daily number of deaths is the basis for disease detection and production index calculation. Regulations require a mortality register to be available for inspection.
Treatment records
Every medicine administration — product name, dose, treatment duration and withdrawal period — must be recorded. Veterinary medicines are subject to a separate register available to the vet inspector.
Feed documentation
Invoices and delivery documents for feed are kept for at least three years. Medicated feed requires a separate consumption log.
How to keep poultry flock records — a step-by-step guide
- 1
Register your flock premises with ARiMR
Submit an application to register your poultry flock premises in the ARiMR register — at the county office or via the e-application portal. You will receive a flock premises number (location identifier) required for all notifications.
- 2
Obtain a producer number
The producer number (farmer reference number) is issued by ARiMR at registration. Without it you cannot legally sell poultry or use IRZplus. Check the status at your local ARiMR office.
- 3
Connect your farm in DlaFerm.pl
You enter your flock premises number and producer number in DlaFerm.pl just once. From then on you don’t have to log in to the IRZplus portal with a trusted profile every time — the app can use those details to file reports for you. The ARiMR portal is really only needed for the first premises registration.
- 4
Report a placement — in one click
A new flock placement must be reported to IRZplus within 7 days. In DlaFerm.pl you simply start a new cycle (date, species, production direction, number of birds, supplier) and, if you choose, the IRZplus report goes out automatically — without retyping the same data in the portal.
- 5
Keep daily records in DlaFerm.pl
Every day record mortality, weight, feed and water consumption, and any medicines given in the Flock Card. DlaFerm.pl collects this data and calculates production indices — you have a full cycle history ready for inspection.
- 6
Report slaughter — or leave it to the app
After the cycle ends you report the slaughter from DlaFerm.pl too — switch filing on and the IRZplus report goes out automatically. And if mortality exceeds the regulatory threshold, the app flags it in time so you can notify the official vet earlier.
Frequently asked questions about poultry flock records and IRZplus
Does DlaFerm.pl send data to IRZplus automatically?add
It can — if you want it to. DlaFerm.pl can prepare and file flock status changes (placement, slaughter) to IRZplus for you, so you don’t have to retype data in the ARiMR portal. It’s an option, not an obligation: you enter the data once in the app, then either let DlaFerm.pl file it or do it yourself — whichever you prefer.
Who is required to register in IRZplus?add
Every holder of commercially kept poultry — regardless of scale — must register their flock premises with ARiMR and use the IRZplus portal to report changes in flock status.
Within what period must a flock placement be reported to IRZplus?add
A flock placement must be reported within 7 days of the birds entering the house. The notification is made through the IRZplus portal or at the local ARiMR office.
How long must flock documentation be kept?add
Regulations require flock documentation to be kept for at least three years. DlaFerm.pl stores cycle history indefinitely as long as you have an active account.
Can I keep records in a paper notebook instead of a system?add
Regulations do not specify the format — paper is allowed. In practice a digital system like DlaFerm.pl eliminates the risk of errors and lost documents, and at an inspection everything is in one place.
What do I do when the mortality threshold is exceeded?add
When daily or cumulative mortality exceeds the thresholds set by regulations (which depend on species and flock size), you must notify the official vet. DlaFerm.pl shows a running mortality total so you spot the problem before it grows.
