Biosecurity on the poultry farm

Know who enters the farm — before they enter the poultry house

You hang a QR code on the gate. The visitor checks in from their own phone, entering their name, number and purpose of visit — no app to install. You have a full list ready for inspection.

Sound familiar?

Who actually enters your farm?

An uncontrolled gate is a risk for the whole flock — and a problem during inspections.

edit_note

A paper list that falls apart

The notebook at the gate gets wet in the rain, entries are illegible, and half of them are missing when the inspector arrives.

door_front

While you are away

A sales rep, a delivery driver, a neighbour — you find out after the fact, or not at all.

history

No history of visitor flow

The inspectorate asks who was on the farm in the last two weeks. An answer from memory is not an answer.

warning

Invisible outbreak risk

You do not know that your visitor was recently on a farm in an area with an active avian influenza outbreak.

How it works

What the DlaFerm.pl digital entry log offers

Everything biosecurity requires — in one place, ready for inspection.

qr_code_2

QR code on the gate

You print the board with the code and hang it at the entrance. The visitor scans it with their phone, fills in their details and confirms with an SMS code. The entry is in the log in seconds.

groups

The whole crew in one click

The crew leader can check in all workers from a work order at once — no queueing people up to scan one by one.

person_add

Manual entry for visitors without a phone

Someone came without a smartphone? You add the entry yourself in the app and the log stays complete.

warning

Higher-risk visitor alert

The system checks whether the visitor has recently been on a farm close to an active avian influenza outbreak. If so, you get a notification before they enter the poultry house.

notifications_active

Notification of every entry

Someone checks in at the gate — you see it on your phone straight away, even when you are far from the farm.

fact_check

Full list for inspections

Who was on the farm, when and for what reason — a ready list to export at any time. An inspection will never catch you without documentation.

How to keep the farm entry log

Get started in three simple steps

  1. 1

Create an account and print your QR code

You register your farm in DlaFerm.pl. In the panel you generate the QR board and print it — ready to hang on the gate.

  2. 2

The visitor checks in by themselves

The visitor scans the code with their phone, fills in their name, number and purpose of visit, then confirms with a one-time SMS code. No app is required.

  3. 3

    You keep full control

In the DlaFerm.pl app you see every entry in real time. You receive an alert when someone arrives or when a visitor has previously been to a farm in a high-risk area.

Ready? You can print your first QR board in minutes.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the farm entry log

Is keeping a farm entry log compulsory?add

Yes — a register of people entering the farm is one of the elements of the biosecurity programme required for poultry farming. The veterinary inspectorate may ask for the visitor list during an inspection. DlaFerm.pl replaces the paper notebook with a digital, always up-to-date list.

How does the QR code at the farm entrance work?add

You hang a printed board with a QR code on the gate. The visitor scans it with their phone camera — a web page opens where they enter their details and confirm them with a one-time SMS code. The entry appears in your log in the app immediately.

Does the visitor need to install an app to check in?add

No. The whole process happens in the browser on the visitor’s phone — no app to download. All they need is to scan the code and fill in a short form.

Can I add someone to the log manually?add

Yes. If the visitor does not have their phone with them, you can add the entry yourself in the DlaFerm.pl app. The log stays complete regardless.

What does the veterinary inspectorate see during an inspection?add

From the app you can print or display a list of all entries: name, phone number, date and time of entry, and purpose of visit. Data is always current and sorted chronologically.

Is the entry log only for people?add

Not only. It is worth keeping a broader register — log deliveries (feed, litter, chicks) and cleaning & disinfection between cycles as well. This gives you a complete history of everyone and everything that entered the farm. See the pages on vehicle entry and deliveries, poultry house cleaning and disinfection, and general poultry farm biosecurity.
