How many birds should I weigh?add
A recommended sample is 50–100 birds randomly picked from different parts of the house — a larger sample gives a more reliable result.
What CV% is good?add
As a rough guide: up to 8% is very good uniformity, 8–12% average, above 12% poor — but always compare against the norm for the specific breed and age.
What unit should the weights be in?add
Any — kg or grams, as long as all weights use the same unit.
