Production indicators

FCR, EPEF and livability calculate themselves — from your daily entries

In the morning you enter mortality, weighing and feed. Before you leave the house, DlaFerm.pl has already worked out FCR, EPEF, livability, stocking density and deviation from the breed norm. No spreadsheet, no formulas, no waiting for the end of the cycle.

verifiedFrom the team that has organised work on poultry farms for years.

Sound familiar?

You learn the cycle result when nothing can be fixed any more

Indicators calculated once, after pick-up, tell you what went wrong. Calculated daily, they tell you what you can still change.

table_view

Spreadsheets after hours

In the evening you copy notes into a spreadsheet, and one shifted cell spoils the FCR of the whole cycle.

schedule

FCR only after pick-up

You learn how much feed went into each kilo of gain from the slaughterhouse settlement. Too late to react.

scale

Weight by eye

You weigh the birds but have no breed norm for that day at hand. Is 1.2 kg on day 21 fine or already a warning?

compare_arrows

Houses you cannot compare

Every house in a separate notebook. Which one drags the result down shows up only in the annual summary.

Start calculating FCR and EPEF daily, not once per cycle.

What the system calculates

Poultry production indicators from the flock record

Everything comes from data you already enter into the digital flock record.

grain

FCR for the whole cycle

We add up the feed from all entries and divide it by the weight gain of the whole flock — gain per bird times live birds, for males and females separately.

query_stats

EPEF without a calculator

Livability, average weight, flock age and FCR combine into EPEF (European Production Efficiency Factor), updated after every entry.

favorite

Livability and mortality

Current bird count, daily and cumulative deaths, mortality in percent and livability since placement — no manual subtraction.

scale

Weight vs breed norm

Male and female weights are compared with the curve of the chosen strain for that day of age. You see the deviation in percent straight away.

water_drop

Water and feed per bird

Water and feed intake are converted to a single bird and set against the norm for the flock’s age. Deviations are highlighted.

square_foot

Density birds/m² and kg/m²

From house area, bird count and weight we calculate stocking density. You know when you are approaching the limit.

home_work

House by house

Indicators are calculated for the whole flock and separately for each room holding part of the birds.

leaderboard

Flock comparison

A table puts flocks side by side: bird count, livability, mortality, weight and FCR. The best value in each column is highlighted.

event

Expected pick-up date

From the placement date and the strain curve we work out an indicative slaughter date, so you can book catching and transport earlier.

How it works

From an entry in the house to a ready FCR in three steps

1

You create a flock

Enter the placement date, bird count and strain. From then on the system knows the weight, feed and water norms for every day of the cycle.

2

You make a daily entry

Mortality, weight, feed, water meter reading — from your phone or the web panel. It takes a minute.

3

You check the indicators

FCR, EPEF, livability and deviations from the norm are recalculated after every entry, for the flock and for each room.

See your flock’s FCR today, not in the slaughterhouse settlement.

FAQ

Questions about FCR, EPEF and production indicators

How does DlaFerm.pl calculate FCR?add

We add up the feed from all daily entries and divide it by the flock’s weight gain. Gain is the weight difference between consecutive weighings multiplied by the number of live birds — for males and females separately. The method is explained step by step in our guide how to calculate broiler FCR.

How is EPEF calculated?add

EPEF = livability (%) × average weight (kg) ÷ (age in days × FCR) × 100. It is recalculated after every entry. How to read the result is covered in EPEF for broilers.

I just want a quick FCR or EPEF figure. Do I need an account?add

No. For a one-off calculation use the free FCR calculator and EPEF calculator. An account pays off when you want the indicators calculated daily from the flock record.

Where do the weight and feed norms come from?add

From the curve of the chosen strain: for every day of age there is a weight, feed and water norm. You pick the strain when creating the flock, and the comparison works from the first entry.

Do the indicators work for pigs too?add

FCR does — as feed used per kilogram of gain. EPEF is a poultry indicator, so we only calculate it for poultry flocks.

Where do I enter daily data?add

In the digital flock record, from your phone or the browser panel. What an entry looks like and what else the record gives you is shown on the digital broiler flock record page.

How can I try DlaFerm.pl?add

Click “Try the demo” — you get your own demonstration farm with sample data. The session lasts 24 hours, then the test data is deleted. Once you create an account, the first 60 days are free and no card is needed.

Let’s look at your flock

Tell us how many houses you have and how you keep the flock record today. We will show you how to move your data and when you will see FCR and EPEF daily.

Give us a phone number or an email — either one is enough.
