Roles and permissions

Farm staff permissions: everyone sees what they need

Farm workers log mortality, the vet records treatments, the accountant sees invoices. Nobody looks where they shouldn’t. In DlaFerm.pl you assign a role in one click and fine-tune individual permissions with switches.

verifiedFrom the team that has organised work on poultry farms for years.

Sound familiar?

One password for everyone is asking for trouble

When everyone can do everything, nobody is responsible for anything.

key

A shared login

The whole farm uses one account. Someone deleted last week’s entry, and nobody knows who.

receipt_long

A worker sees invoices

You want a new hire to log water and feed, but they also see rates, payouts and customer details.

garage_door

A gate open to anyone

Whoever has the gate number gets in. At 2 a.m. and on Sundays too.

history

“Who moved the date?”

Catching was pushed back a day, and the text messages give no clue who did it or when.

Give people exactly the access they need.

How it works

Roles, permissions and a change trail in DlaFerm.pl

A role gives you a sensible starting point. You fine-tune the rest yourself, without calling us.

badge

A role switches on a preset

Farm worker, manager, leader, vet, veterinary technician, accountant, company owner and more. Each role has a preset set of permissions that switches on when you assign it.

group_add

Several roles for one person

A manager can also be the accountant. Role permissions add up, and removing one role does not take away access granted by another.

toggle_on

A switch for each action

Permissions are grouped by module: flocks, buildings and silos, orders, finance, tasks, veterinary, KSeF and more. Viewing, adding, editing and deleting are switched on separately.

agriculture

Farm workers without finance

By default a farm worker sees flocks and the farm, logs daily entries and does not see payouts or financial reports. When needed, you add a single permission.

domain

Roles per company

The same person can have different roles in different companies. A vet serves several farms and in each sees only what the owner allowed.

manage_accounts

Who manages people

Managing employees, roles and permissions are separate permissions. You can let your farm manager take on new staff and keep permission settings for yourself.

garage_door

Farm gate rules

For a person, a company or a whole role you decide whether they may open the gate. Time window, days of the week and date range, and a block always beats an allow.

history

Who changed it?

When someone creates an order, moves a shift or changes an invoice, the notification says who did it. Tasks have an activity timeline, and the visitor log shows who was on the farm.

restore

Removed, but restorable

A worker leaves? Remove them from the company in one click. When they come back for the season, restore the account instead of creating a new one.

Getting started

A team with permissions in three steps

1

Add a person

Invite a worker to the company. People who applied to your company themselves wait until you accept or reject them.

2

Pick a role

Assign one or more roles. Preset permissions switch on automatically.

3

Fine-tune the details

Use the switches to turn off what the person doesn’t need, or add a single permission.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about farm permissions and roles

Which roles are available?add

Among others: farm worker, manager, leader, farmer, vet, veterinary technician, accountant, company owner, and crew roles for catching, vaccination and depopulation. Feed mills and slaughterhouses have their own roles.

Can I change the permissions a role gives?add

Yes, for a specific person. The role switches on a starting set, and you use switches to turn individual permissions off or add more.

Can I see who changed what?add

Yes, wherever it matters day to day. Notifications about a new order, a moved shift, an invoice change or company data changes show the person who made them. Tasks have an activity timeline, and the visitor log and gates record who entered the farm and when. The system also records data changes in an audit log.

Can a worker from one company see another company’s data?add

No. Permissions work within a company. A service company you work with sees its own orders, not your invoices or flocks you haven’t shared.

How do I restrict gate opening?add

Opening gates is a separate permission. On top of that you set rules for a person, company or role: hours, days of the week and validity dates. A block rule always takes precedence. More on farm protection in the poultry farm biosecurity guide.

What about a farm manager who leads the team?add

The farm manager gets the manager role and, if you wish, the permission to manage employees. Their day-to-day work is described on the farm manager software page.
