Farm vehicle access control: every truck with plate, time and weight
A camera at the gate reads the number plate and a weighbridge weighs the truck on the way in and out. DlaFerm.pl turns that into a visit: who came, why, when they entered, when they left and how much feed they delivered or how many birds they took.

Who and what really drives onto your farm?
Every vehicle on the farm is a risk to the flock — and a question you need to answer during an inspection.
Who drove in at 4 a.m.?
The feed truck arrived before dawn. Which company, when it came in and when it left — you only know if someone wrote it down.
Feed “on trust”
The delivery note shows a quantity, but did that much reach the silos? Without weighing the truck in and out, you cannot check.
A stranger’s truck by the house
A vehicle that is not on your partners’ list drives onto the farm, and you find out after the fact — or never.
A notebook at the gate
A handwritten vehicle register always has gaps. During an inspection you rebuild it from memory and delivery notes.

The camera and the scale take the readings; the system builds a register of vehicle visits ready for inspection.
The camera reads plates
A number plate recognition camera at the gate sends every read to DlaFerm.pl. The plate, direction (in or out) and time go into the visit with no one touching a keyboard.
Net weight calculated for you
The weighbridge sends gross and tare. For a feed delivery the system subtracts the outgoing tare from the incoming gross; for a livestock pick-up it does the reverse. The net weight is stored in the visit.
Recognises partners’ vehicles
The plate is matched against vehicles of your own company and of the feed mills you order from in DlaFerm.pl. A known truck is added to the visit with its company name.
Unknown vehicles don’t slip through
Plate not on the list? The visit is marked “Unmatched”. You assign the vehicle by hand or keep the entry as a record of an unknown truck.
The gate opens by itself
When the gate is connected to DlaFerm.pl, you can switch on automatic opening for recognised vehicles of cooperating companies. It is off by default — your call.
Weight discrepancies flagged
You set a tolerance in kilograms. When the net weight differs from the expected quantity by more than the tolerance, the visit is marked “Disputed”.
Visit purpose: feed, livestock, vet
Every visit has a purpose. Feed deliveries and livestock pick-ups can be weighed (each switched on separately); vet visits and other entries are logged with entry and exit times.
Add a visit by hand
A truck used the side entrance or the camera was off? Add the visit in the panel: a vehicle from the list or just a plate, entry and exit times, net weight.
Permissions and GDPR
Separate permissions for viewing visits and for managing devices and settings. Plate reads are deleted automatically after the number of days you set (30 by default); the visit with its weight stays.
Vehicle access control in three steps
- 1
Camera and scale at the gate
A plate recognition camera stands at the gate and a weighbridge at the entrance. We help you connect them to DlaFerm.pl.
- 2
Devices register themselves
After the first reading, the camera and the scale appear in the “Devices” tab. You give them clear labels, e.g. “Entry camera” or “Weighbridge”.
- 3
You set the farm rules
You decide whether to weigh feed deliveries and livestock pick-ups, what weight tolerance to use, whether to open the gate automatically and how long to keep plate reads.
Already have a camera or scale at the entrance? We will check how to connect it to DlaFerm.pl.

What hardware do I need?add
An IP camera with number plate recognition at the gate and — if you want to weigh trucks — a weighbridge with an indicator that can pass the result on. Readings reach DlaFerm.pl through a small gateway device on the farm. Automatic opening also needs a gate the system can control. Write to us and we will check what you already have on site.
Do I have to weigh every vehicle?add
No. Weighing is switched on separately for feed deliveries and for livestock pick-ups. Vet visits and other entries are only logged — with the plate and entry and exit times.
What happens if the camera does not recognise a vehicle?add
The visit is saved as “Unmatched” with the plate that was read. In the panel you assign a vehicle from a cooperating company’s fleet or keep the entry as a record of an unknown vehicle. The gate will not open by itself in that case.
Which vehicles count as recognised?add
Vehicles registered in DlaFerm.pl by your company and by the feed mills you order feed from in the system. Other companies’ vehicles are never matched to your visits — each farm’s data stays with that farm.
How long are plate reads kept?add
As many days as you set — 30 by default. After that the plate reads are deleted automatically, because they are personal data. The visit itself — purpose, times and net weight — stays in the farm history.
Who can see vehicle visits?add
The company owner sees everything. Other people get permission either to view visits or to manage vehicle access (devices, manual entries, settings).
Does vehicle access control replace the entry log?add
No, it complements it. Vehicle access control records vehicles, while the QR entry log records people entering the farm. Together they give you the full picture of who and what was on site. Rules for vehicle entry are covered in our guide on vehicle entry and deliveries, and the whole topic in poultry farm biosecurity.
