Placement and cycle planning

Plan the placement once — the whole cycle falls into place

Enter the placement date and choose a cycle template. DlaFerm.pl lays out vaccinations, thinning, pick-ups, cleaning and disinfection on specific days, creates work orders for the companies doing them and shows everything in one calendar. On placement day the flock becomes active by itself.

verifiedFrom the team that has organised work on poultry farms for years.

Sound familiar?

The cycle in your head, the dates on sticky notes

Every cycle has the same steps on similar days. And still something slips every time.

replay

The same plan from scratch

Vaccination on day 10, thinning on day 32, pick-up on day 40. Every cycle you count the same dates again and call the same companies.

home_work

A house booked twice

New chicks planned into a house the previous flock has not left yet. You find out a week before placement.

sticky_note_2

Dates in five places

Work orders on your phone, the vet visit in a notebook, house cleaning on a note by the door. Nobody sees the whole picture.

hourglass_empty

A flock “hanging” after the cycle

The pick-up was long ago, but the flock is still active in the system and skews your reports.

Lay out your next cycle in minutes, not in a dozen phone calls.

What you get

A production cycle schedule in DlaFerm.pl

From the placement plan, through operations during the cycle, to closing it.

event_upcoming

Placement planned ahead

Create a flock with a future placement date. Until then it is planned, and at the set time the system switches it to active by itself.

Cycle templates

Save your proven cycle: species, operations on specific days after placement and the planned end day. Keep as many templates as you have cycle types.

checklist

Operations on cycle days

Placement, vaccination, thinning, pick-up, transport, cleaning, disinfection, bedding, fogging, rodent control, insect control, weighing. Some can be marked optional.

assignment

Dated work orders

When you create the flock, every template operation becomes a work order on the right day — with the assigned company, houses and hours. A placement work order is always created.

calculate

Quantities suggested for you

For thinning and pick-ups the template spreads the bird count across operations. You only correct what is different on your farm.

warning

House conflicts

If another flock occupies the house in the planned period, the system stops the save and shows the conflict. You accept it knowingly or change the plan.

calendar_month

One farm calendar

Work orders, vet visits, tasks and your own events in one view: as a calendar or a list of cards.

alarm

Events with reminders

Add your own event — private or visible to the whole company — and set a reminder, e.g. a week or a day before.

archive

End of cycle under control

When a flock passes its planned end date, you get a notification. If nothing changes for two weeks, the flock is archived.

How it works

From a placement plan to work orders in three steps

1

Save a template

Describe your cycle once: what happens, on which day and who does it. The template stays for future cycles.

2

Plan the placement

Create the flock with a placement date and pick the template. Operations land on cycle days and you adjust what you need.

3

Work from the calendar

Work orders are created with dates and the calendar shows the whole cycle. On placement day the flock becomes active by itself.

Let your next cycle start from a ready plan, not a blank page.

FAQ

Questions about placement and cycle planning

How do I plan a placement in advance?add

Create a flock and enter a future placement date and time. The flock waits as planned, and at that time the system switches it to active.

What does a cycle template contain?add

A name, description, species, a list of operations on specific days after placement (with the company doing them, houses and hours) and the planned end day. A deleted template can be restored. A typical cycle is described in our guide the broiler production cycle step by step.

Are work orders for service companies created automatically?add

Yes. When you create the flock, every template operation turns into a work order on the right day. The service company sees it on its side. More about work orders on the work orders page.

What if the house is still occupied?add

The system checks whether another flock is in the same house during the planned period. Such a conflict blocks the save until you knowingly accept it. Work orders overlapping that time are shown as a warning. Why the gap between cycles matters is covered in all in – all out on a poultry farm.

What does the calendar show?add

Work orders, vet visits, tasks and your own events. An event can be private or visible to the whole company, with a reminder a few days ahead.

Where do I follow the flock after placement?add

In the digital flock record: daily entries, mortality, weight, feed and water. See the digital broiler flock record page.

How can I try DlaFerm.pl?add

Click “Try the demo” — you get your own demonstration farm with sample data. The session lasts 24 hours, then the test data is deleted. Once you create an account, the first 60 days are free and no card is needed.
